Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) outfit Skype has announced a mobile partner programme to boost dodgy 3G connections.

The partnership initiative launched by Skype is a deal with mobile operators in areas with low 3G broadband penetration. The VoIP company wants to use its mobile partner programme to get operators to optimise their 3G coverage.

Skype reckons it can do this by using a client/server model. The client/server model was built for operators and it means that any operator who signs up for the partnership can use Skype on most of its smartphones.

The use of VoIP in general and in particular Business VoIP , has increased in recent years. VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol, the technology for voice communications over a broadband Internet connection is used.

With VoIP for the first time on the market, its use by people, which was composed to talk through their computers. The quality was poor and was widely regarded as not suitable for professional use. Not only that, the service was also inadequate, with no additional costs beyond the pure incoming and outgoing calls. All this means that companies rarely VoIP elected and it was mainly from people who used an inexpensive way to want to entertain family and friends.

This situation has now changed, though. More recently, the most modern means have materialized for the use of VoIP, come with VoIP adapters and VoIP phones on the market.
